We're heading into a different flavor of interesting times. There is so much to be done just to right the ship that I don't expect a lot of moments of sheer political joy in the near future, even if the election goes the way I think and hope it will. But that said, I'm expecting a rollout of cabinet nominees that will warm my heart, and while I usually skip the State of the Union Address regardless of who is president, I expect to watch and drink in the nonTrumpness of Biden's first SOTUesque speech to the joint session of Congress in January or February or whenever it is.

I gave up on television ages ago. I don't have time to find anything worth watching, especially when there are so many streaming entertainment options. That makes it easy to ignore the bulk of the coverage. I quit answering the landline, too, so political calls are a non-issue. Oddly enough, a huge chunk of my new job depends on the outcome, but I've done all I can to influence it.
