The toe joints of geckos bend the opposite way that ours do. Because they cling to things using the van der Waals force, they have to peel their toes off the surfaces they're clinging to. Also, geckos can't cling to Teflon.

The first telemarketing company was DialAmerica Marketing, which was formed when a company that solicited for local sports teams and non-profit organizations bought Time's telephone subscription unit. They still operate, and handle about 250 million calls in a year (inbound and outbound).
