This one sucks and is hard on the eyes.

Go to the bottom of the page on the left and pick whatever theme you like from the drop down box

You can change your setting you know.

Don't do it! You'll miss out on the bonding that comes from the shared experience of messageboard suckitude and eye strain and that we'll all be looking back upon so fondly in ten days.

What they said--just change it at the bottom left--it's currently set for "Raffoween". You'll want "Evil Giraffe" if you want it back the way it was. :)

The important point to understand is, this is a group event. And any group event will have the user base involvement represented by a bell curve, with the REALLY EXCITED ABOUT IT on the right side (the ones who send out food lists and outfit suggestions), and the O LORD TAKE ME NOW on the left side (the ones who get a clammy sense of dread as it grows near, shuffle to it for as brief a period as possible, and then slide out a side door when somebody sneezes to cover the latching sound).

You are playing an important role in this, by being put out. You are helping keep the population diverse, while also allowing us to do group activities, which allow us to retain a common sense of spirit (even if that spirit is embodied by "God, why does Giraffe DO this every year?").

So buck up, buckaroo, and let me give you an attaboy for playing your part to help keep the Giraffe Boards from sucking any more than it has to. By, well, acknowledging that it kinda sucks.

I use M-style by default so I never know when they fuck about with the themes. I do not dig the default Evil Giraffe, those yellowy colors give me the pip.

I applaud Fenris' Halloween spirit, but having the Raffoween theme as the board-wide default is cuckoo, so I changed it back before people started killing us or each other. It is of course still the default theme for the Raffoween forum, though users are free to change it there as well once they've absorbed the spookiness.

Hey, guys, remember when Fenris changed the whole board's theme to Raffoween? And then Giraffe stomped in and changed it back? Man, were those ever the days.
