Don't you hate it when you buy a bag of air and there are chips in it?

I mean, that really frosts me.

The Superhero 27th November 2011 10:54 AM

I donno, I regard it as sort of like the prize in a box of Crackerjack. Essentially useless, but kind of a bonus and part of the charm.

HongKongFooey 27th November 2011 11:13 AM

It's potato-scented air. You're supposed to discard the chips, just like the dessicant packet with new shoes (which probably taste better than potato chips these days).

Zeener Diode 27th November 2011 11:36 AM

They bag air chips now?

stormie 27th November 2011 02:43 PM

Actually bits of air coalesce inside the bag and form chips. They are dangerous

Wolf 27th November 2011 03:08 PM

Can't have one without the other.

Used to eat 'em in Germany. Also used to eat fries with mayo.

Than again, I absolutely love peanut butter, cheese, pickle and mustard sandwiches so what do I know?

I'm not even going to ask how you discovered such a concoction...oh hell, yes I am. How did you ever discover such a monstrosity?

That was how we ate fries in my household. Well, mayo mixed with catsup.

Fries, tater tots, hash browns... mom would save leftover mashed potatoes and fry 'em up for breakfast, like hush puppies.

mnemosyne 27th November 2011 09:13 PM

My source for chocolate-covered potato chips has moved from PEI to Ontario. This makes me sad enough that I'm going to attempt to make my own, possibly this week.

I'll let you know how that goes...!

More air, fewer broken chips.

The Futility of Nihilism 28th November 2011 07:18 AM

Better air chips than air biscuits.

Zeener Diode 28th November 2011 07:22 AM

Don't dismiss the value of air biscuits! They give you room to think.

Rebo 28th November 2011 07:32 AM

But most of the time they don't smell like potatoes.

You laugh, but don't mock it 'til you've tried it. They are surprisingly good...even downright addictive!

Jaglavak 28th November 2011 12:19 PM

Yeah. So is smack, I hear.

Roo 28th November 2011 01:02 PM

How much does a bag of air go for these days?

Solfy 28th November 2011 01:05 PM

I dunno. I buy mine in bulk.

Roo 28th November 2011 01:08 PM

I hope you don't find chips in that. I could see the problem there.

Order some. Try them.

If my homemade attempts don't work, I'll probably order some too. I just figure it might be cheaper to make them myself and that way I can have them more often!

That way lies madness!

Wolf Larsen 28th November 2011 04:06 PM

Madness takes it's toll, please have exact change.

Roo 28th November 2011 05:14 PM

Madness is apparently fattening too.

Madness-y goodness!

I didn't take you for a coward...c'mon, order some, eat some, you know you want to!

I really, really want chocolate-covered potato chips now.

Are you claiming that madness is slimming? Cause I'm good with that too. ;)

zhengjdc 29th November 2011 01:29 AM

I bet they were selling desiccants while mistakenly packed in a few chips...

Not at all. I'm claiming that your supposition lacks supporting evidence. Just anecdotally, I viewed the link, then weighed myself, and I gained not an ounce.

Solfy 29th November 2011 05:05 AM

When I get mad I storm around and clean stuff. Ergo madness is slimming, and it gets your house clean. :science:

Can't be too different from chocolate covered pretzels. I'd try 'em.

See, I do that too, but then I have a clean kitchen and am inspired to cook. When the kitchen is nasty, I don't cook.

Ergo, laziness is slimming. :science:
