It is hard to find these because BigT wades into every thread about warnings to wag his finger at whoever posted it and it creates a lot of noise on google. Man that guy needs a long break fromt he board.

I did find this. This is the saddest fucking thing I've ever read on the Internet. A warning over a swear is causing BigT real pain and he can't sleep.

It goes on and on like that. He is really in agony over a warning. Many people suggest he get perspective. The humane thing to do would have been to just ban him and end it there but all they did was lock the thread.

I couldn't find any mod warnings, but there is this admission that he's been racking up warnings since grade school. Took a wrong turn early, that one did!

2 warnings still missing folks. These last two are worth 50 points each and a priority choice in the new Death (banning) of a Derper 2019 thread. Wherein we list the favorite candidates for the ban ax.

Much of his moralizing and finger-wagging is projection on his part. He's reaming people for doing/saying what he really wants to, but is afraid to, and projecting his motivation for it onto them. Hence his constantly assuming that people who say "Shut up, BigTard" (or similar insulting dismissal of someone else) are doing it because they are angry with him because he's right and they have no reasonable response. Since he would only dismissively insult someone for that reason, therefore anyone who dismissively insults him must be doing it for that reason, too.

He's a sad little man. He needs to quit the board and get counseling.

Edit: Does this Ban Pool thread exist? Where is it, S3? Or are we on to S4 now? Nobody tells me anything.

I expect UrbanRedneck SlackerInc to be banned inside the week. BigT will never get banned because the mods are afraid he'd take his own life.

I don't think he'll get banned either. In fact, I hope he doesn't. But, anyone who doesn't think politics enters into derp moderation needs to ask why he has 9 warnings and hasn't been suspended?

Huh. That thread is about Skald being skeevy, and it's 7 years before the latest shit about him. Seems people have been bitching about him for years before anything was finally done.

Especially two for threatening/stalking, seems like only one would get a guy banned. But as has been noted, they've also dealt multiple warnings to other posters. I genuinely think it has more to do with pity than politics.

Still can't find Warning 8 or 9.

What's curious is that BigT -- according to hajaro's list -- got four warnings in the space of a year (05/11/10, 05/16/10, 07/26/10 and 01/15/11; three of which were only two months apart). He must've been going through a pretty angry phase, esp with the stalking/threats in there.

I guess one of those includes the infamous BigT freakout that he has no other life but the SDMB, so as Mr. Plumbean suggests, he might've gotten away with 'em due to the mods' pity (or fear they'd be cited in a suicide lawsuit). Still it's pretty surprising that the SDMB's favorite schoolmarm has such a hefty record.

I bet he is sweating bullets.

Rereading that thread, I'm a bit ashamed at how cruel I was back in 2012 and ever since then.

That's what I thought and was too uncruel to say. Most controversial posters this side of Cesario have at least a few champions but literally nobody likes BigT as far as I can tell. And really he's not a Cesario-level bad person, just... you know, BigT. And yet the board is [in his own words] his life. Can't he at least find some board where he'd be appreciated? I don't know what it would be.

BigT does occasionally make a knowledgeable and helpful post about IT issues. He’s not totally useless. If I were the ultimate deity, I’d allow him to live. Jinx and aceplace on the other hand serve no useful purpose that I can discern. They would be condemned to Gehenna.

3. Hi Opal! It seems like this is the origin story behind the regular snark threads. It is somewhat stirring. But does that mean this board functioned for a whole year before we had those threads? Mind blown.

1. It was the day after the warning in Link #3 in this thread. At the time it was obvious.
2. No idea. I don't see links to the deleted posts with my mod powers. Whoever deleted them (might have been me) permanently deleted them instead of hiding them. It might have been doxxing with too much information.
