"Hi, people! Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star....."

What I'm leaving here are my responses to what y'all bring up in the areas of this forum that my messages can not be left in anymore. I just now saw this one from the moderator named Pure:

1. What's your all time favorite Halloween candy
2. What’s your favorite non-chocolate Halloween candy
3. What your favorite Halloween candy from when you were a kid

My answers:

1.) Nestle's Crunch
2.) Red Blow Pops.
3.) M&M's

I pray that y'all have been doing as well as you can be. :) :) :)

God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

Holly

P.S. Running Coach, you said that your favorite candy from when you were a kid are bottle caps. I've never seen such a candy before. May I ask what they are?

That are a packed sugar kind of candy (some call that 'tablets') kind of like SweeTarts. They are formed to look like old-fashioned bottle caps (the kind you have to pry off with an opener.) The flavor selection is limited to flavors you can commonly find in whatever we are calling carbonated soft drinks. So, root beer, cola, orange, cherry, and grape.

Bottle Caps

Halloween is coming, hope JOSH is getting ready.

Walmart already has their garden section decked out for Christmas.

Licorice gumdrops.

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=candy+cro...l_5s85wa8792_e

Speaking of M&Ms.

Lately I've been eating the peanut butter and caramel M&M's together. Since the caramel ones are bigger I usually do two peanut butter ones and one caramel one at the same time.

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=caramel+m...nb_sb_ss_i_3_9

And have you tried the English Toffee ones?

https://www.amazon.com/Chocolate-Fla...s%2C222&sr=8-7

They are really good.

My favorite Halloween candy has always been those peanut butter chewy candies that come wrapped in either orange or black. I love peanut butter candy things.

And as for red blow pops, which ones? Strawberry, cherry, raspberry, cinnimon, watermelon, tomatoe?

The pretzel flavored M&M's are my next favorite after the plain ones. I hope that they are still made. I haven't seen them lately. They were in a blue colored bag whenever I used to see them.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

Ken? 28th October 2020 02:03 PM

They're still around. My local grocery chain has them and so does CVS. I like salty chocolate and I liked that aspect of the pretzel M&Ms but not the pretzely tasting part. But I'm not big on non-large soft pretzels anyways.

James Otto Sweet Heart 13th November 2020 01:25 PM

The newest person to go forward is country singer Doug Supernaw who had three big songs in the 90s named "Reno", "Not Enough Hours In The Night" and "I Don't Call Him Daddy" which was the only one that went all the way. He was 60 years old and cancer is what gets the evil eye once again.

God bless you and his family always!!!

Holly

P.S. "Reno" was my favorite song from him.

TROZ! 13th November 2020 07:18 PM

I don't recognize his name but I have heard all those songs you listed. Sad that he passed. Those were good songs.

Did you hear that one of the Straight Dope mods Jonathan Chance recently passed from cancer as well? They said it was throat cancer.

He didn't really post here or if he did it was under a different name.

James Otto Sweet Heart 14th November 2020 11:31 AM

^^^ No, I didn't. I hate that though. Cancer has claimed the lives of way too many people.

God bless you and their family and friends always!!!

James Otto Sweet Heart 24th November 2020 01:29 PM

The newest person to go forward is county legend Hal Ketchum.......I was only nine years old when his first song went to radio in 1991. I've loved him ever since "Small Town Saturday Night". I have too many favorites from him to name.

God bless you and his family always!!!

Holly

P.S. 2020 can kiss my Holly hump!!!

The Church Lady 24th November 2020 01:54 PM

Well, there aren't many 39 year old virgins in Tennessee. It's like when my dog turned to me and said: "You better head back to Tennessee Jed." Don't worry, some undertaker can finally screw you in your coffin.

James Otto Sweet Heart 24th November 2020 03:15 PM

God bless you always!!!

There ain't no place I'd rather be. :pure:

The Second Sock 25th November 2020 05:52 PM

Well, I'd rather be in Heaven listening to Jerry, Pigpen, Keith and the boys sitting in the front row with Jesus, The Lord and the Holy Spirit on each side of me.

God bless all of you always and may they break out in the second set with Dark Star and then Terrapin Suite, with Tomorrow Never Knows as the third encore. Cuz it's Heaven.

I just saw the chat about today being the 40 year anniversary of John Lennon's final day. Because I wasn't around then yet, one question that I have is, was John personally connected to the guy who shot him in any way at all?

God bless you and his family always!!!

No, the guy that shot Lennon was just a nutjob. He was a fan until John said The Beatles were bigger than Jesus.

Another country legend has gone forward due to Covid. He was 86. I love to hear him sing this song.

Lucky. All I have to kiss in the morning is a glove filled with peanut butter.
