To reduce the chances that two strong songs would meet in Round 2, criteria were used to assign songs to the top or bottom half of the remaining field. "Silly Love Songs" was considered to be a relatively strong contender for being Billboard's #1 Hot Single of 1976 and for earning 95.65% of the votes cast in its Round 1 poll.

Silly Love Songs is terrible.

It is, it really is but still a lot better than anything KC ever did.

It was SURPRISING how close it was.

I'll never forget KC lip syncing out of sync on Midnight Special!

Silly Love Songs is not terrible and it's an easy vote over a song about butt wiggling.

Some people want to fill the world with shaking booties.
