Scooby-Doo Mafia: Night Four and the End
The final few snag of the mask of Skybreaker, revealing:
Thanks, everyone for playing! |
Here are the role messages:
|
Night actions:
|
Yes!
|
It's me, by the way. I was The Angel Satan.
|
Oh, yeah, anyone else want to reveal their sock? The only one I figured out was Annie.
|
Do not weep for me too long, my friends,
For I was true of eye, steady and aglow. I was staunch to the end against odds uncounted: I fell with my face to the foe! And I shall grow not old, as y'all that are flesh grow old: Age shall not weary me, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning -- X1000 sysmsg: SS-OS kernel corrupt. Please return to manufacturer. |

Thoughts:
|
Never maxing out the number of characters in a sock name ever again.
I got locked out of that account once, and multiple sessions of using up my 5 chances. I can remember how to spell "miseried" OR the password, apparently. |
I forgot I was scum Night one. I'm not kidding.
|
Who was everyone?
|
How was Town supposed to win?
Who was the Dean? |
Seriously. What was with the detective abilities?
|
How do I ever even look where I need to, if I get two false positives?
|
Finally.
1. Hopefully you all got the pun on "Miseried My Shin" ? 2. Or why I posted the Peter Gabriel Sledgehammer video? |
Did anyone else take issue with the language in their role pm?
I read "if the Dean finds you, you will be out of the game to mean that I had a lovers role, and subsequently an extra win condition. That If I met the Dean, I'd win the game. |

After we had seen that there were good guys that weren't in the Gang, why vote Skybreaker for not being in the gang*?
Now excuse me, the Pumpkin Queen has to get ready for Halloween. Edited cause I can |
So there was no dog catcher, there was no dean?

But the Gang were each vulnerable to being name-killed if they revealed who they were. This was a bonus kill for the Bad Guys, but low probability. The Busybodies each had a one-shot protection power to counter the bonus kill. The overall goal of the design is to give Good Guys a reward vs risk trade between gaining info and getting killed. |

I went to re-read my role PM and realized I had clearly read it WAY too briefly. I figured I had cost myself the game for sure. |

But also, blocking Night kills, like on Night Two. And confirming town, like Pumpkin Queen did for Annie. |
Quote:
How would one do that, exactly? |

Got it. |

It's entirely why I freaked out, and why I claimed. If I had known that you had to match Velma to Annie, instead of a <role called The Dean simply saying "Catch Annie" I would have played different. I would have played better. I thought the entire "If you are caught" mechanic was a thousand times easier, and didn't require a matching up of any kind. I was told that The Dean had to "catch me". Not that Scum had a "Name Kill" ability. Town was told one rule. Scum was told another. |
So. A game with multiple millers.
I thought the general consensus was that a game with even one miller was controversial. |

In short, the detectives in this game, weren't. |
My guess is Not Scooby-Doo Gang. We had the power to find each other, not really funds the Bad Guys. I expected more than 1 scum tho.
