So, following up on the company computer situation. They sent me one of the small-footprint desktop jobs and two humongous monitors. After using it for several days I have to admit, it's a pretty sweet setup. It's a helluvalot faster than the laptop was, and I have permission to transition stuff from my personal laptop to the desktop so I don't have to switch back and forth between machines. I used to have to use my personal laptop to access employees' schedules, payroll, etc. because security on the corporate laptop (which I brought home when we mothballed the call center) was screwed down pretty tight. Anyway, as my favorite Star Wars character would say, "Meso happy!"
