I mean, it's entirely subjective, but I for one can't sit through any episodes of TNG seasons 1-2.
There are a bunch of episodes that are kinda crap and overall rather cliché, and some plotlines are just ill-advised, but I like to focus on the characters and their growth, and in that in season three and all of season four that's really all the show is about.
Hope you enjoy.
EDIT: I mean really, it's the only ST series where people watch and discuss films and sit down together for a beer while watching sports.
