I like the board just fine, I don't even see box posts unless I go looking for them, and I sock up for forays into the box. I stick to the super long threads and babble off the top of my head. It's words to read and this place is, as Rigs has noted, cheaper than therapy.
I like the tavern analogy, there's even a room for the stoners. I do my best to stay serious in serious threads. I haven't seen any interesting questions go ignored, and poking trolls is fun in a guerrilla psychology sort of way. I poke them with pillows.
