Reks - a couple of free (and darned well worth it!) n00bie tips for you.
1.) To quote someone as in above, click on the "Quote" button at the bottom of
their post. It will start a new post with their post quoted in it. You can also do a manual quote by using this structure; [Quote = 'username'] 'their words' [/Quote]. The advantage to using the quote button, aside from a lot less typing and remembering silly vBulletin codes, is that it puts a link to the original post in the quote so that extremely bored people can click on it to be taken to the original post in the thread.
2.) If you want to alert another poster, like the big guy, you can place an @ sign in front of their username like this @
reksfzilno. They'll get a notification that they have been "mentioned" in a post and a link to it.
3.) There is an official name change thread
at this link. It is at the top of the Getting Started forum and all name change requests should go there. If you post to that thread one of the Admins will see it and decide if your requested name change will be allowed - spoiler alert, it will.
And if I haven't mentioned it before, welcome to the board. It is nice to have a new poster that isn't a stupid troll or spammer.
