I'm sorry to hear it, Puna. If I were you I would find some other people with the same issue to talk to. I googled and found groups on facebook, for example, and there is this.
we can be generically supportive (go, Puna!) but it might be nice to talk to others that have been on the same meds, etc.

I tried the afibbers.org, scanned through some of the topics -- scared the hell out of me! This seems to be people coping with afib without medication, possibly.
Anyway, I'm on a medication that keeps my heart slowed down and, as long at it stays that way, it'll stay in sinus rhythm. We may have to tinker with the dosage but at my age I'm not going to be involved in any activity (training for marathons, etc.) that'll trigger the afib again. Aging will cause me to need stronger meds, eventually, and there's the possibility of ablation again, although that's riskier and tougher to do. For now the medication is holding me steady and I'll talk to some local people to help me wrap my head around needing a pill every day for the rest of my life.
