I had a gig installing some Dell servers at United Artists building in Century City. While waiting in the lobby for my contact to meet me, I sat directly across from Al Pacino.
I grovelled at the feet of Dave Brockie (lead singer of GWAR, RIP) and asked him for a job at a rave at Qtopoia/Vanguard in Hwood. He was playing with his solo punk band (sans monster costumes) in the small room. He told me he could barely afford to pay himself. I thanked him for his time and shook his hand then proceeded to roll my nuts off.
I was a professional extra for a few years in my early days of living in Hwood, and I'm sure there are dozens of other celebrities I've seen on set, but none of them are sticking out in my memory right now.
