I'm with you. I think we've reached the point where it's being over-reported. Report essential information, of course, but give the day-to-day handwringing a rest. (One problem, of course, is that there isn't a heck of a lot else going on these days
to report on.)
I can honestly say I am not scared of the current situation. To be sure, I have some concerns about others, but they are neither excessive nor obsessive.
It is all a matter of how you look at the situation. Sure, this thing is deadly. But even if I get C-19, there is at least a 95% chance I will survive it. And, of course, there is no guarantee that I will even contract it. (Alas, no data exists to estimate those odds.) All told, my chances of dying from this virus are less than the chances of someone my age dying from
something this year.
