We got to miss class! We'd all stomp to the gym, joyful for the respite from listening to our teacher. When we'd get there, kids realized we were getting shots and some started crying. I didn't care. I remember one vaccination was something squirted on a sugar cube that we ate. That was definitely my favorite, I even remember it now!
I asked my mom if she knew what that was, but she didn't even know we'd been given something orally.
