Just in case anyone's wondering, it appears that the antibodies produced against non-variant COV-SARS-2 also are effective against the new mutation observed in the spike protein that the virus uses to gain access to cells. This means the vaccines, as well as convalescent sera therapies, will still be effective against this mutation in coronavirus:
