Thank you, taters and Duck!

It was probably the nicest weather day we've had in upstate NY this summer, a little breezy, a lot sunny, and if you sat in the shade, it was perfect. In the sun was a little hot, but not oppressive. Got a lot of stuffed moved at the yard sale, not the big ticket items (snow blower, ladder and table saw), but didn't expect to - they are on FB MP. As a family, we made 600ish, blew $20 on some breakfast sandwiches for middle son and me, then $60 on pizza for the crew, but that wasn't the point.

We moved some stuff, and towards the end of the sale, a lady stopped by and said, "I just dropped a bunch of donations at a church in Milton (25 minutes north) that collects for two weekends, then they have a big yard sales for two weekends. They do that three times in the summer". Evidently, they were in the collecting phase.

At 3 p.m., we closed shop, packed up 80% of the items, 10% went back in the house. 10% ended up in recycling or the dumpster bag, put the 80% in the back of BIL's truck, drove to said church, we pulled into the assigned area, and they helped unload us. A 'thank you' from the pastor, and we were on the road.

At this point, I would estimate, we are down to 40% of the stuff we had even four months ago. And it's spread across the entirety of what we own - clothes, furniture, linens, tools, 'things'/games/DVD/etc., 90% of all of the books. And I'm probably not counting 'other things'.
