"Reporting," as such, is dead. What we have now is endless pushing of whatever narrative the PTB want pushed and it's gotten so ludicrous that you see 180 degree changes of narrative from the same "reporter" only a few days removed from each other and nobody even points out that they said X on Tuesday and Y on Thursday, where Y is diametrically opposed to X. There's a reason no news outlet online has a comment section any more--people kept pointing out how incredibly inconsistent the stories were getting.
