About claiming, I don't see any upside at the moment for any red towny to claim. It would not be confirmed by the flip in any case. If I'm reading the rules right, all we will get is the color.
Also: is the certificate problem cleared up for others? It doesn't seem to be for me. Obviously, I can get here, but having trouble staying logged in.

I suppose we could consider announcing who we are going to target, thus increasing the chance that others will target the same person and get the bonus. Of course, scum could take advantage of that, too.
The main advantage for a Red Townie claiming is that we might not vote them off, whereas if they don’t tell us and get scanned, we almost certainly will. That’s just the basic logic of the Miller role. In this case, there’s some additional benefit, as knowing the number of Red townies would allow us to make inferences about the setup.

Except there is a block function. So announcing our targets is probably not the smartest!
