I'll be spending some time with my friend and her family for New Year's tonight! I am still very tired and spent overall, but I love her to death, and I would much rather sit and talk with a close friend than sit alone in my dogless house with nothing to do! She has cerebral palsy, and due to Covid can't really risk going to a totally packed place for a New Year's party, but I'm just happy to liven up the party with food and laughs! I'm sure she'll do the same for me. She's so wicked cool. She has a college degree and does amazing things! She's the sweetest person you'd ever hope to meet, not a single malicious or judgmental bone in her body. I'm not much for sports, but she is the largest Memphis Grizzlies superfan, and I have grown to really enjoy watching Grizz games with her when I'm over and there's a game on. If all sports fans acted as my friend did, and not totally gross, I'd be into sports more I think! ;D
I'll have to gush more about how amazing she is later.
It almost feels like saying 'Happy New Year' is an insensitive thing, due to the past year and how much it's seemed to deliver just pure and utter horseshit directly into our mouths via baby-food spoon. "Here comes the airplane, fuckwad!" Cooed the universe. Despite this, there were times where the universe decided to at the very least, mix in some delicious mushed pears in there as well. Here's to another year of surprise mushed pears, folks! May we even be treated to some Cheerios in 2023!
