Weekend update:
It was too hot to do anything substantive. I've been waiting all summer for hot weather, so I wasn't complaining. I mostly hung out on the porch reading "Educated" by Tara Westover, which I found very well written and interesting.
I brought Eldest home from school on Saturday, though she had to go back into town for a job interview on Sunday (she got the job). We brought home the desk that was already in her apartment, and I spray painted it back into respectability with an awesome award-winning new spray paint that can be purchased at Home Despot.

Swimmy decided to build jig saw puzzles. The 150 piece puzzle didn't take her too long so she got out a 300 piece one. It stumped her, so I took over and found it the most awful heinous miserable stupid rassafrassin puzzle ever. Whether by intention or not, nearly every piece was identical and would connect with every other piece. This made it impossible to judge whether a piece was in the right place except by looking at the photo (of a peacock). Coupled with entire portions of the puzzle being all the same color and you have a recipe for frustration. I mashed at least eight pieces in wrong places and called it a night at 12:30 last night and plan to throw that puzzle in the trash. (including the piece that fell on the floor and was mistaken for a Dorito by Fluff Pupp and lightly chewed)

I moved Eldest's desk and yet another load of random stuff back to her apartment and she should be set for quite a while. I swore I'm not moving any more furniture for her for the rest of the year.
It felt good to embrace a little sloth. I'm hoping September is kinder to my nerves than August was.
