It really was, wolfie. You sped up via a lever and lowered the blades on the same lever. There was an onboard computer and you had to watch the screen and let the bushel count zero out before you flipped things off. The steering was extremely sensitive too.
Anyway, it's something I've never done and I was grateful to K for the experience. He rode with me and we had a really great chat while I drove the combine.
