As for Ring Out, Solstice Bells, what does "promo spot" mean compared to "official video?" All the old videos (if not the new ones) were for promotion. It wasn't a fan video, either.

It is probably late in the nomination process and like I said, they aren't gonna win anyway, so I am not really miffed.
"Fan video" maybe wasn't the right term, but the BBLB video was done for Sonny and Cher as you say, not by the artist. The original version has Sonny and Cher's vocals, although many versions already being played in the 80s had replaced their vocals with the original. Either way, it wasn't the artist's video.

The Jethro Tull video was made for a BBC program called "The Golden Oldie Picture Show." BBC created the videos, not the artist.
