Buy a lot of Finger Lakes lakefront and not build anything on it.

Set up a smallish committee to find kind people who are struggling financially and give them life-changing amounts of money. No strings. Just give it to them.

Build some good houses with yards and catios and hire some kind homeless people to live in them and take care of homeless cats and dogs. Pay them enough to live comfortably.

Invest in one or more businesses working on developing batteries that can power a house, can be readily moved by one person, and can be recharged by any of various renewable energy methods. Once developed, set up a chain of stores that sells them and that also exchanges ones low on charge for charged ones; delivery available.

I expect I could go on.

Oh yes. Pay somebody skilled in such things to keep me anonymous; so that as far as anybody else knows I'm just one of the recipients of the Mystery Awards. Or maybe one of the Cat/Dog Care awards; some of which could go to people who already had houses, and support them to stay in them.
