I did, eventually, make it home. The place I work has an official stance against working from home (because we're a hospital and half the employees can't work from home), but my direct boss has a more realistic stance---e.g., why require 100% of our employees to drive in, when we can ask 20% to work from home?
At any rate, my house is leaking water from 6 places now, and one spot on the ceiling looks dangerous. Not a drip but a dinner-plate-sized wet spot in the ceiling.
Not good.
