Claudius is coming over tonight for dinner, and it got me thinking about hanging out with peeps. I'm not much of a socialite, and I get really weird around new people, but y'all have had the shiny new all scrubbed off, and I don't think I'll die of shame if I accidentally beer belch in your general direction. I know we got folks in Orlando, St Pete, Miami, Titusville, Venice, and Sarasota. Probably some other places that I can't pull off the top my head.
Who's in? Where's a good meet? Who's the designated driver?

Alright you Floridiots - your hockey team seems to have advanced already whilst mine's taking their sweet time. The Bruins-Bolts series will start some time next week and Tampa's a 6 hour drive down 75 for me. Who'd like to meet up to see a game and hoist a glass in Tripler's honor?

I see they actually play in the city of Tampa, unlike so many sports teams who don't play in their named city, but Orlando looks not so far away on a map. Still, both are larger cities surrounded by roads full of people who aren't good enough drivers to have gone back North by now.

Suupid questions about to occur, strap on your helmet - do the Lightning games sell out? If not, are there tix within $$ reach of us plebes aside from SRO which is a good deal but HORRID on your feet? Is there a favorite watering hole nearby the fans usually congregate to watch and partake?

Here's some info on the ticket sales. Prices go from $40 for terrace to $200 for club seats, so I imagine you could get upper bowl tickets for around $80 or so.

You're thinking of Channelside. Fun place, but a bit overpriced. There are plenty of sports bars around, but you'd be in Bolts territory, and we tend to be a rambunctious sort

It would appear the NHL won't even release the TBA schedule for the series until this round's done; fair enough. But no hurry on that, I need my Wings to win another 2 games, then I can breathe again and make travel plans.
