Free mail that doesn't require SSL checks??

I need an free mail that doesn't require SSL checks to set up a scanner at work.

That is the short story.

The long story is that this scanner seems to do what ever it can to make it impossible to set the scanner up. Although after 4 hours of trying and testing I did google this nice little help:

I suspect one of your fellow Geebers has installed a Trojan Horse on your scanner. The scanner will behave better as soon as you enlist in the upcoming game of Conspiracy Mafia.

Ulla, unfortunately I don't think you'll find one that's web-based. I went looking for one for some testing I needed to do and the upshot seened to be "if you want one that doesn't require TLS / SSL then you have to set it up yourself. "

I better try that solution - must admit I didn't think of it myself.

I found one. It's called Lavabit and the ip is 72.249.41.52 for POP and SMTP. If you use port 25 for SMTP and 110 for POP is doesn't require SSL
