Unspoiled chat: Active chefs, stay out!
I have not been spoiled and have elected not to be.
Anyone else who dies or is watching is welcome to talk to me or amongst yourselves. |

That steams me up real good. Killed N1! The bastards!
![]() It possibly will put Visorslash in hot water, but who I'd really rather see in the frying pan is Packratter or Giraffe... if anything, this makes me think Visorslash is more likely townie. ...and now what do I do with this ridiculous avatar? |

Here's how you know I was townie: How many people I accused when my lynch was not a foregone conclusion. That's not diplomatic and always loses (gains votes). But my responsibility as a townie is not to avoid gaining votes, but to accuse scums. Town doesn't win if I avoid accusing scums. My responsibility as scum is to avoid gaining votes. If anyone ever realizes that's my scum tell, I'm screwed. But I've openly stated it for years and still win 80% of my games as scum. If I am being lynched on Day One I am not a wolf, because I will have said or done something to reduce the odds I get voted. I have never been lynched Day One as a wolf in any game larger than 10 people. If I am doing nothing to reduce the odds I get lynched, I'm a townie, everyone. |

By the way, I care more about accusing scums than protecting my "role".
Okay, so I was a Watcher. A watcher is typically a scum role since it's so useless to town. I can identify town power roles and active scums only. I am useful only if I identify someone at the scene of a murder. Still, that's so valuable apparently, that wolves WILL vote to lynch it. Now taking bets that there are 2 or more wolves remaining on my wagon. If you guess correctly who those 2 are, that's worth more than 1 watcher, who may never catch any scums at all. |
#11

Plus if you start playing cautiously the wolves will murder you anyway, and all you've done is reduce the odds you generate the game-winning case.

Heh. Just for you, pizza.
Wolf, if you ever do get the chance, join us for a game - we'd love to have you play. It seems like some suspicion is getting expressed towards Giraffe, which I would like to see. I'm too bearish on the idea of a Packratter lynch. |

It was so quiet D1 I think we had to step up and yak. Even if it cost us (and if Archangel really is a Vig - whoa, there. N1's a little early!) it's worth it if town starts talking.

Later, didn't think Archangel was guilty. I wasn't guilty. Ergo, No Lynch was the best option. Factor in, I was a watcher, and odds are town had multiple detectives, either a tracker or a standard cop, means that you run greater odds town wins if NOBODY dies on D1. More detectives means hurried nonsense lynches aren't necessary. But you know how it goes. Pizza did something different means he's scum, in oh, zero percent of cases. My standard town game is tailored perfectly to be identical to everything i need to do as scum. If I do something different, it's because I'm townie and want to take that risk because it is better for town. |

If I have ever been lynched on D1 as scum, it would have had to be a mini game of 7 people or less.
I know exactly everything not to do to not die Day One. If I'm doing stuff that makes you die on Day One, that's your clue. |

I could get behind either a TexCat or Archangel lynch in this situation, but it seems like a Visorslash lynch is a really bad idea... anyone have a different read?

I would go for the quiet ones. I have a feeling the scum in this game are avoiding controversy. Archangel should be kept alive a Day or two to see her actions.

TexCat should die. Visor should die. Sylph should live and eat the murder. |

The first game is always the toughest, I think. Unfortunately, we have a little bit of a culture of lynching the newbie here (although there are a number of us who ardently oppose that practice.) Don't take it too personally, it's just a game - one that comes with many quirks and traditions, which make it hard for someone new to know what's going on or how they may have transgressed against tradition.
It doesn't help that most of us mafia players are very opinionated people/entities ![]() I hope you had some fun in the game; sorry it didn't last all that long. |

You can lynch pizza. You can lynch pizza.
I lie all the time and nobody can read me. I put the clue of how you know I'm townie in this thread, if nobody accepts it, that's still okay, I get it that folks just can't trust me anymore. I just accept I'm lynchbait no matter what I say or do, except of course when I am actually scum, which suits me just fine. But everyone voting Archangel today are OBJECTIVELY off their gourd. Archangel noting that Sylph claimed in italics and trying to save her through reasoning (botched it at the end, sad face) was still a noble and heroic effort to talk sense into this town. Archangel, even with the switch off of Visorslash at the end, is still the town MVP right now. It's that bad. I still don't regret dying in her place right now. Only she can really rectify things. Oh Archangel please, please, shoot a scumbag for your ol' pal pizzaman.... don't be a-scared just because you shot badly one time, it happens, comes with the territory of being a vig. Gnarly shouldn'a been voting for me anyway. ![]() |

Slyph, you were kinda dealt a bad hand. Tracker as your first role in a game is a tough role to play. You did the best that you did, and they shouldn't have lynched you. I am also going to PM you

Hmmm. Having taken a second look at D2, yeah, Visor has to die. Not certain that he's scum, but he is too instrumental in taking down townies.
Archangel should be kept around if possible, and her firing off another round wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. |

He is doing the EXACT SAME GAMBIT I pulled on him and all of the rest of you besides Squid and Swammi.

Redirector, they have a redirector or a doctor, guys.
He's soooo scum. He and I and approximately maybe 1 other player ever would also do that gambit with neither, and not a bomb either. There is no town motivation to say vig me here. none whatsoever. Cheese and crackers. Last edited by Askthepizzaguy; 15th April 2014 at 02:13 AM. Reason: added bomb, he could also be a bomb |

Also Sylph, I'll be sad if this was your last game.
Stick around because you should experience what it's like to have a game go well. Or at least, not feel bad because you died early as a town power. You're only getting a taste of the bad outcome. That's not a large enough sample size. I insist you stay and try more, unless you are really sure you can never have fun in a game like this. You really, really shouldn't feel bad about having voted for me. Everyone does. |

Btw gnarly, I seriously, seriously don't pick on you for real for voting for me, but...
As a town detective, surely No Lynch was to your advantage specifically? You could have scanned me then. The idea of No Lynch in a game without detectives is typically absurd, but a claimed detective and yourself, that's two. I mean scums do claim watcher/tracker, so your vote isn't objectively always wrong. In fact watcher claims are really scummy roles, so I seriously get it. But you were an alignment scanner... No lynch is way, way awesome for games with multiple detectives. Heck, as town watcher I auto-resolve due to the murder, or a SK, or whatever. Lynching a scum D1 also makes you a high priority murder target. You should play for long term survival there, I think. But that's opinion, that's not something I can really quibble over. Your thoughts? |

i am pretty open to different points of view but No Lynches on D1 is something i really can't wrap my head around. ironically if it weren't for that issue i would probably have been my usual quiet self that allows me to survive deep into the game. cf the Sherlock Holmes game on the Dope.

crys claims (which I wouldn't have much issue with - even at Night, since there's at least one obvious scum target out there already) - then follows up with a 'IME, claims not under pressure are more likely to be true' but just by saying that, it invites speculation as to whether that's exactly what crys wanted people to think, not really solidifying the claim for folks.

Giraffe's goof with the Visorslash vote makes me less bullish on him, but I'll keep him high on my lynch list. Here's what I'm thinking:
Lynch or at least put in lynch candidacy these folks: Visor TexCat Giraffe These folks need the pressure of votes to get them to talk: Packratter Lightfoot Silver Jan Don't Lynch: Archangel Swammer crys Chameleon Clockwork Jackal |

I'm a little burned out on getting killed early... first two games back and I haven't survived past N2. I think I'm gonna give you all my suspicions and then get spoiled and maybe I'll come back for the next game. I think Archangel and Crys are scum buddies trying to cover up their Nightly hijinx through power roles and contest prizes. I'm also highly suspicious of Visorslash. All three of these have had sketchy voting history with each other. If I had to name a fourth it would be swammerdami. I've already explained earlier in the game why I think swammer and visor are scum buddies. I think town was doomed from the start with such a large amount of active scum compared to lurking townies.... If this game is balanced out, then surely we have lurking townies that aren't using their powers and are throwing the game out of balance by doing so. That's all.... I'll check the game and here when I have time, but it's gonna be less of a priority for a bit. |

Things were kinda quiet over the weekend, good thing Colby extended the day. Will have to reconsider the 'no lynch' recommendation I put on Archangel. She's now someone I would recommend pressure, but by no means should she be lynched before they lynch Giraffe. That would give us a lot of info.

Popping in to say she'll vote, then just voting on a predictable candidate just before EoD? Packratter has to be lynched too.
Modified Lynch list: Giraffe Archangel Packratter TexCat Preferably in that order. |

I'm not spoiled. I'm mad at myself. Hindsight is 20/20 but I should have shot last night. Sorry to everyone, especially Charlie.
