So, is the Snackpit gone? Everyone once in a while I remember that place and go have a looksy-loo but it seems to have completely vanished.

There's still a server at the URL, but it only serves up blank pages.

Last I heard - and this was a couple years ago - they were gonna shut it down because SnarkPit old-timers went away, as did many SDMB old-timers. Once Tuba left\was silenced, half the fun of the SnarkPit went away. Plus, even then they were complaining about the SDMB being full of old folks, and not having the heart to snark on 65 year-olds any more. As far as the SDMB's age goes, it's even worse now.
