Cars frontman Ric Ocasek Found Dead at 75

It looks like natural causes. This is sad. I liked Ocasek as a songwriter. Really strong pop hooks with enough beat and edge to not be insipid. I like playing and singing Cars songs on the guitar. One of my bands used to cover "My Best Friend's Girl." It was a fun, simple, danceable song for bars. The Cars were always a safe choice for bar gigs. Nobody hates them.

I had no clue Ocasek was that old. Success came fairly late for him. I never did see them in concert.
