We're good; the iPad had no access to money. Credit cards were at a separate terminal, cash was hand delivered.

I dunno, you had better ask one of the more tech-savvy types here, but surely these is an app or at least software for this type of thing? I don't mean accounting software, but something equivalent to a cash drawer that can be reconciled at the end of the day.

If there isn't, may I suggest you invent one and make millions?

I've seen iPads used as cash registers, so it's certainly possible. But you'll need to buy the extra equipment (the cash drawer and a credit card scanner). Here's one place that sets you up; there are probably many more.
