Nah, they make it for Windows where it's even more of an ugly abomination than on Linux. Haven't used it in a few years, so I suppose there's an outside chance it's gotten better, but I'd steal a copy of Photoshop before I subjected myself to using that program again.

I used GIMP to cobble up my avatar. Unfortunately, all the tutorials I've found are almost impossible to use on dial-up, so my skill level is growing painfully slowly. I just push buttons and adjust parameters randomly and see what happens as a result. Still, it's easier to accomplish stuff than by using MSPaint.

I'm teaching myself to use Blender and Gimp at the same time. You should try and eventually Blender your Gimp.
