LOL, I kept looking at the spoon and thinking, "Spoon. Wait, no, that's not a band, is it? Yeah, it is. No, you're thinking something else." And Hole just completely blanked on me when I saw the hole. I couldn't see the mountain for the trees, in this case.

OOOOOHHH... It's purple, I thought it was blue (I'm bad with shades and tints), so all I could think was bands with "Blue" in the name.

Okay, I cheated and just googled the answers. We'll never hit 75, because this image has been cropped, and it's not a "Mountain" in the background.

This time I double-checked to see that they haven't been listed in previous posts.

OK, I'll go with Beach Boys. Some of these clues aren't as literal as I'd like.

That's as good a guess as any. I kept thinking about the tree, on a mountain top. Never thought of it as a hill.

What is in the food cart (on the right)? I see Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, Blind Melon, and RHCP. In front is Green Day and The Cranberries. Also are: Jewel (it just hit me), 3 pineapples, 2 squash, and a bunch of oranges with smiling faces. Small Faces, perhaps?

But they are clearly orange and the Lemonheads are yellow. If there was zzzz above them it could be Tangerine Dream. I got nothing.

There is a band called Hot Pink Sky, but I think they are too obscure to be part of this. But the sky in the picture is hot pink.

In post #28 I suggested the Pet Shop Boys. I should add that they are in the full version of the picture: http://classic.dryang.org/flash/75bands.htm To the left of the Zombie there is two boys standing in front of a shop window with "PET SHOP" written on it.

This full version has all 75 bands depicted in it. The cropped version in the OP has only got 70 bands in it.

It'd be fun to make our own version. You could have:

-Marilyn Manson
-Poison
-Beatles
-Aerosmith (some guy making arrows)
-Pearl Jam
-Presidents of the United States of America
-Stone Temple Pilots
-Cream
-Iron Butterfly
-Scorpions
-Four Non-Blondes
-Soundgarden
-Soup Dragons
-AC/DC
-Byrds
-Porno for Pyros
-Grateful Dead
-Mamas and the Papas
-Counting Crows
-Black-Eyed Peas
