Map Assets GPS
Is there a software that you can manually put people and assigned assets in various locations in sore sort of an overlay on a map?
Sort of like AIS, but on land? I'd like to get a map of southeastern New England and be able to place where certain crews and their assigned trucks are and what their mission is. Anyone know if there is a feature on Google Earth or Google Maps where you can do this? This would most likely have to be manually manipulated because I'm not sure if our trucks have locating devices on board, but I'll take whatever I can jerry-rig. |

Yes, there is! I can walk you through Google Earth overlays, and how to export them to Google Maps and other software.
I just did this for a FINEX last week and the week prior. Tripler . . . all over this. |

Hahaha, that is so sick.
I've been very vocal about wishing such a thing existed to track our peeps. If you can help me, I'll pitch this and maybe they'll give me a huge flat screen to display it! Maybe a mod can manipulate this thread to make it photo-friendly? If not, please feel free to move it to Photo Safari! Thanks, Trips! |

Crews are pretty fluid through the day. There are up to 6 crews of three per day. They can move several times as they work on their stories.
