I'm pleased by how far Kodos has gone, a one off villain from 50+ years ago. I've got to vote for Morganna. She is a classic villain who still resonates 870 years later. (not 1000)
Her Celtic root is possibly even more ancient, as the war aspect of the 3 aspect Goddess The Morrígan. |

Strange, she didn't really become a character until after Geoffrey of Monmouth mentioned her. I think any further age is the big "if". If she is either The Morrigan or a different more minor Celtic Goddess.
OK, I'm looking at the Wiki article, where do you see an over 1000 reference? I'm missing it. |

They trace her origins to pre Christian celts in Wales, maybe a stretch but still.
