iPhone auto-rotate issue

Has anyone else experienced this? My accelerometer is working, games that require it still function normally. Videos still play in landscape mode but Safari and photos will not rotate from portrait to landscape when the phone is turned.

I've tried holding the phone at various angles to let the accelerometer stabilize before rotating but as I said I can see that it's working properly. It seems to be an OS issue not letting Safari or the Photos app rotate the screen. I've restored the ipod but that didn't help. Any ideas or experience related to this? Is there a setting I haven't found that affects this?

I don't know. I've had temporary issues with the screen not rotating, but I'd get out of Safari or whatever and it would work properly when I went back in. I wish I could be helpful, but I've never found a setting to change the rotation.
