Does this make me an evil grandmother??
After she finished her lunch today, my granddaughter needed to nap. SIL cleaned her hands and face and she came to see me. He tried to take her to bed, but she spun my desk chair around and pulled me out, then ran down the hall to her bedroom.
She let me change her into her nap diaper, and after I rocked her for about a minute or 2, she climbed into bed and went to sleep. She picked me over her Papa. ![]() Yeah, maybe a little for knowing she likes me better. ![]() |

No, that's okay.
It's the curse you put on her that when she turns twenty-one she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die that makes you an evil grandmother. |

You're not evil, but you also get the enviable job of being all fun and no discipline. Parents have to be the bad guys, grandparents can always be the good cops.
That's how it should be, since grandchildren are your reward for not drowning your own kid(s) in the nearest river. |

True. My kids are 15 and 16. I'm finally thinking that little kids are cute again. I could see being a grandparent someday.

![]() I don't know what the bed routine is with her father, but I like to hold her in the rocking chair for a little bit before putting her down - I think she likes the cuddle time. |
