Anyway, we definitely have enough for the ol' wrapping machine to get itself wrapping and who did you all wrap? BillMC!

It is now Night 2. Night 2 will last until Noon on Sunday, January 2. All Night actions need to be in by then, but feel free to put any night actions in much quicker. Mahaloth loves early Night actions as they make things easy to process and organize.

Pleonast, either Tonight or Tomorrow (w/in the first 100 posts or so) share why you got a nibble on Vanta? I undertand that you may be salty because others have disregarded your reasoning in the past. But I think it's extremely important to Town to know the reasons for a lot of your pushes, and whether town follows your reasoning or not is not the issue. The problem is that your not sharing your thought proces actively impedes those of us who want to solve the game.

Exhibit A: Pleonast.

Okay, Pizza and possibly a couple of others have said Pleo is playing is usual town game. (This is assuming Pleo has a usual game; I wouldn’t swear to that myself. Maybe I just haven’t seen Pleo’s usual Town game.)

However, in the HOH game, even playing as a bug who didn’t have a good grasp of English, Pleo did some things that helped Town have more information or at least did not actively hurt.

What particularly concerns me are his posts about controlling the executions and having to split the vote. That doesn’t sound like something helpful to Town. I can see where it could, in certain instances, but in this case it does not.

This is 9 posts after Maha announced that gnarlycharlie was subbing in for guiri; he hadn’t even posted as a player, but only to say that he was Christmas Sock. So the gut reaction must have been to guiri.

These posts sound like he’s talking more to his teammates and knows who they are.

Almost midnight, and have I had a night!

With any luck there will not be camera-phone footage of my car sliding backwards down a hill.

My friend said if the weather got bad I could spend the night, but I didn't even get there. The hill I died on was about a mile from my house. Spent 3 hours waiting for a tow truck. (They were quite busy.)

When I called they asked if I was blocking traffic. Well yes and no, I would have been, if I'd been the only car stuck, but I wasn't. Then another car tried to pass, and slid into mine, and knocked me over to the side of the road, right to the curb. So I wasn't blocking traffic any more.

I had planned not to drink alcohol (because I really didn't want to spend the night at my friend's house or anywhere besides home) but I did have a little something to smoke. But no matches. So the guy who hit me came over to my window very apologetic. Said he didn't see any damage but did I want to get out and check and exchange insurance info? I did not want to get out. It was a blizzard right then and I probably would have fallen on my ass. So I asked him if he had a light. And he did!

My life. "Oh sorry I hit your car." "That's okay, got a light?" "Yes."

I have never spent a NYE like this before. Once is enough.

What makes me think scum might have killed me is that scum tend to off more active players, of which I am one. Which, in this game (ahem)is a pretty low bar but yeah.

So if I were to be NKed then you guys would know I was the vig but you wouldn't know who my target was. So for instance if they were still alive, that would mean they were a GF, but--you wouldn't know.

Also the odds of Prof. P and I hitting the same target. Which, according to my notes, if they were GF he would get a town result, and they'd still be alive.

My philosophy in vigging is take out the ones not really participating. They could be Town but it prevents you from needing to rely on them when it's LYLO. Of course if you hit scum, that's gold.

For example, I would probably take out one of the non-voters. I've'seen SP flip scum while lying very low.

But that's just me. Spme take out the one who placed second in voting. Some just the ones they suspect.

For context, we usually have about a 1/3 of that number call out on any given day. And it is chaos even at that.

Suffice to say, "" Predictive "" scheduling and "Right Sizing" only considers the customers in the store from this time last year. It holds no consideration for the heath of the employees, Physical, or otherwise.

You will note, that at no point in time, did I mention that this parlor trick of scheduling, that goes by many names (Customer centric and Just In Time, as few other names) .... actually works. It is bullshit at half, and the longer story of this, we do not have time for. I am now working 5 registers [Yes] instead of 1. The pay of that job, probably needs to be doubled .... for one register.

And, as I did mention, our raises are only ~ 10 cents an hour, twice a year. There is a cruel joke here, that the manager I was speaking to for a raise, is MIA, and other managers can't confirm if he legit has Covid, or is using that to go be MIA. --- Then again, every single positive thing I've gotten at work, to progress in the company has either come at great delay, or held in limbo while the position that would fill it, quits, and gets replaced, with my paperwork in the balance. Part of me wants to, and will always ask, every single time, what it is I can do to change your opinion here. Not just yours, Pleonast, but anyone who would find them asking.

As I have nothing to give to you [Think about this for two seconds] it will be a hard sell. But, I think we are mutual, in that, the amount of hesitancy you have here (Begin to Think, over " KNOW ") means that we are well met, and equal, and that, ultimately, both of our stance here will mitigate, and fall back down to where they need to be.

I want to say that I have my reasons, but that sharpens everything too much. It forces action, forces wrong actions.

I'm here. I'm under stress that I'm not sure I've ever had before. Contrast 2021/2022 Meeko to 2009 Meeko*, and one of us were Unemployed, and the other is frantically trying to add what he feels he can, and is arguably relevant to the state of the game, and his psyche, and is ... hopefully not TMI. ... Yes. Conditions at work have gotten worse from 1 November. They have gotten worse from like, 26 December and after, ever. We are far from me campaigning for being a Captain, of anything. Not so much to point to what .... was a better showing that this, .... but to point to that one game I sat out of. ... At best the current mix of demands at work, of which 40 hours a week is only a Minor part of, and the demands of a mafia game .... will need to change if I am to keep playing here. [[Suffice to say, that I do believe days off, as scheduled, are set to improve for 2022, we have seem memo and schedule to that effect already.]]
