Koji Whiskey
Koji Whiskey?!?? OK, so this stuff tastes like what, hooch crossed with prosciutto or something? That doesn't sound all that tasty to me. But the reviewers rave about it now. Has anyone had some, and if so what does it really taste like?

I'll go ahead and take that as a 'no'.

I've heard of, but never tried it. My nephew pours at a whiskey bar here and next time I'm in I'll pick his brain.

Thanks! I'm always looking for something different to bring to the annual luau.

I saw him yesterday, and he described it as "a sugar bourbon"; flavored with caramel. His bar did not stock it, but he pointed where I could buy a bottle if I wanted.
He also recommended a baijiu liquor as something different. It's a type of whiskey but not like most whiskeys or bourbons available stateside. Not a sake or wine, but a clear liquor with subtle hints, like a fine tequila or vodka. This is the top of the line for baijiu. |
