I've posted a gazillion posts. I say 95% are nice, friendly and open. No one needs to worry about me attacking them.
Which brings me to the fact, if you have reading comprehension and take the time to read(I realize there's a time commitment) you'll see who WAS, in fact, attacked. And who tried, unsuccessfully I know, to defend themselves.

I'm not used to fussing and fighting. I really don't know how to do it. It's a personal failing that I'm not in a hurry to fix.

Nahh. I only trolled once, when I signed up as "Backmasker" when they were talking about 'backmasking'. You won't find that user name. It was cornfielded, almost immediately. The rest of my user-names I was just signing up because you had to be logged in to use the search function. Once they changed to Disgust, you could use the search function without being signed in, so I never bothered to port my last VB account to Disgust. They were all eventually banninated because socks are not allowed. They would last from a few months to a few years, depending on how long it took a mod to discover me.

BTW, my last VB account is still unbanned. I just can't log into it, because I never transferred it to Disgust.

ETA: I just checked, and my last sock is still live. I just can't log in to it, because I don't know what throw-away email I used, and so can't update it to the Disgust system.

I feel it's a very important issue.
So I'm gonna say it anyway.
My feeling is trolling is a particularly mental way to spend time.
If a person is so lame, bored, mean headed and ignorant that this is all they can find to do, I have few ideas:

Get a life.
Clean your house.
Volunteer your time.
Get a job.
Learn a craft.
Read a book.
Play with your kid.
Pet your dog.
Call your mother.
Visit a sick friend.
Sit outside.
Plant flowers, look at the clouds.
Write in a journal.
Listen to music.

Trolling is not a good thing to do. It's bad for your karma. It sucks out your soul.
And it truly hurts others.

I'm pushing for stricter cyber laws. I want trolling stymied. I know there's no way to completely stop it anymore than I do spam, scams, phishing and bullying. But I can hope.

While trolling might not be the most mature or productive way to pass time, I wouldn’t say it is “mental”. Trolling makes up a broad range of behaviors. If you roll into a place and everyone is praising iPhones, you go “I love android LOLz”, that is much different than bullying and harassing people.

Re: your list. I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or you just don’t understand legit boredom. While those actions you mentioned might be responsible or even wholesome…..I wouldn’t necessarily call them exciting. Especially cleaning your house, getting a job, and learning a craft. Oftentimes I fool around on the internet because I’m bored with housework or I have some downtime at work. Learning a craft? Boring, unless it’s carpentry stuff. Planting stuff? That wouldn’t be fun unless I was making money at it…IE farming. Or I was living off the land or some shit. Sitting outside? WTF? What the hell is exciting about that? Hanging out with family and friends? Now you’re getting warmer. But most of us don’t have the opportunity to be around them 24/7. People have their own lives.

If I were to go by most of the things on your list, I wouldn’t been able to get off the internet and touch grass or kick any other vices. I found other substitutions.

I do have a legit letter from two medical sources saying I need my dog for emotional support.
I have legitimate medical conditions. I'm normally mute. Speak ASL. That my dog with limits, understands, TYVM.

I don't have a handicap sticker on my car. I'm usually ambulatory. Except right now I have a broken foot. I've been offered the placard application many times. I assume I could qualify. I've seen too many elderly who need the parking spots more. So I refrain.
