Summer at last! Speaking only for myself, I want a long hot one. I realize this is not the most popular opinion.



As the nights get warmer, things heat up. A lot of things went on in the various neighborhoods last night—things you’d never think would happen in such nice places!

First of all the community message board lights up, but there seems to be a slight problem. Did someone forget to pay the maintenance people?

My alarm went off. Calmly today…. I was told just that, that the alarm went off. It doesn’t specify 1 person, or 10 entered, but if I had to guess it was only 1 based on the rest of the message.

For the first time, I know why the person visited, and I can make a fairly good assumption that this person is Town based on the message I received. Nothing is 100%. But if Bash is claiming to be my visitor and is un-cced. He is at the top of my Town list.

I didn’t want to get blocked last night…. But alas Guiri was the roleblocker.

I put in an investigation report on one of the quiet unknowns.

Honestly though… if we don’t guess correctly today we’ll be in a tough spot. I’m surprised Guiri didn’t try to kill me N1 or 2….I’m surprised they went with Raven over me last night too..

But here we are. We’re building a nice little town base.

Even if I didn't hate my shoes, ... I still would not fully understand my powers in this game. As I dropped earlier, I feel as if my powers have been weak in this game, and that leads to a slower pace of play. I even mentioned "weak sauce" in regards to my powers.

Yeah, I'm being cautious about that last as well, b/c guiri is totally capable of that last stratagem, and was being pressured to distance/antispew from the jump that Day. It's entirely possible that he didn't even target Maha, but without an eventual Tracker/Watcher result coming out to confirm that, that shall be forever consigned to the "known unknowns" bin.

I'm still not entirely convinced that our 3rd party is malevolent (or even that our third wincon is not something ancillary, attached to someone otherwise town/scum), but given your EoD3 explanation, I'm certainly not going to discount it. At the least, lumping them together is a safe bet for preserving town majority should push come to shove.

Well, if guiri was telling the truth about blocking Maha (which correlates with Mendie's claim above) then the reason why there was no kill N2 is obvious; there's a protective role in the game, and wuffs are attempting to hunt for that first.

Ehh. I wouldn't be so sure of BC.

I understand that he's had issues and a benign visit bodes well at first blush, but aren't, say, scum Role Cops a viable thing in this setup?

I mean, without also being the recipient of Dizzy's peeks, simply flinging anonymous messages around would be of very limited utility, yes. I think the point of this setup is being smart about playing the hand you're dealt.

But what about the pink stuff? Are you saying here that you've never detected any activity on me? I'd believe that given that I was scapegoat-y for the first two cycles and my powers being passive/undirected, but now that my N3 message has been tampered with, that doesn't seem right at all. If so, I think we might have a Ninja/Stealth something in the mix.

Basically my issue here is, if I take the result on LF and the Mendie claim at face value, FMPOV that means we've narrowed it down to BC, Plumpudding, and TexCat exactly. If Dizzy is right about BC on top of that, then we literally just nuke both Plumpudding and TexCat for victory, ggez.

And I am having a very hard time believing in that world.

That's town being catapulted into way too advantageous of a position, way too quickly for me to believe that this game is properly balanced. Suffice it to say it looks like the IM/UR version of Suspicious Videogame Generosity, and something must be counterbalancing this for scum to have a fighting chance. Whether that's a potential Godfather in Lightfoot, or one of our claimers not being as pro-town as their results suggest, or something else entirely unaccounted for, I'm not quite sure yet. Or maybe Vanta Black just had a blind spot in the setup design. Totally possible.

But tl;dr, I do have some doubts I wanna work through toDay.

In the meantime, I'm okay pressuring one of our quiet few to join the conversation.
