Right now, the field's wide open. It's anyone's game, but there are a few contenders starting to shine: Pioneerof the Nile, Musket Man, I Want Revenge, and Fresian Fire just to name a few. Who are your picks so far and why?

I need a new favorite- The Pampelmousse was scratched from the Santa Anita Derby and his connections say he's not going to the Kentucky Derby

Also, if you have any tricks and tips for picking faves this thread might be a fun place to share them- example: I like BIG horses. It doesn't matter if they're a colt or a filly, but I feel an all-around big horse has better chances for muscling through heavy traffic, has a bigger lung capacity, and probably has to take fewer steps to get around the track than a smaller horse (their stride is longer). So share the off-the-wall, superstitious, or science-based handicapping!
