Do you watch House Hunters International? I'm encouraged to see how cheap it is to live in countries that have mild winters. Or no winters.

I have city council meeting until 8:30 or 9 p.m. There's no TV at city hall. It should be over by the time I get home.

I've vowed to skip the armchair quarterbacking the day of the election and afterwards. The relentless ads, yawping talking heads and general level of hysteria over this election have just worn me down. It's toxic and I've overdosed. I'll vote early Tuesday morning then unplug.

Toward that end, I deliberately stockpiled some recorded shows and some good books to read instead.

I'm with Veb. I'm staying away from TV and the news Tuesday. I might check out the G-Boards but that's it. Otherwise I'll be playing Civ VI and/or reading a book (the newest Jack Campbell is out so maybe I'll finish it up tomorrow).

Then I'll go to bed early and read all about the results Wednesday morning.
