Question in regards to the possible cop claim…

If both the directors and villains target the person being protected by the town cop, is that player killed?

That’s the only sticking point I got atm against the claim. Would it be best to claim? Maybe. But let’s make sure that we can keep the cop protected first before he or she claims.

OMGUS ? Sure, but hell, it's not enthusiastic. I think that should move it up a few notches on the historied and time tested "Day 1 Vote rationale" scale. I also removed all hedging from the vote as well, because, well, apparently "No Take Backs" is in effect.

FOS Mantis and Ladybug ... Not sure how far in the weeds here I want to go, but, at the very least, they share a connection to each other beyond "bugs". If that connection is also related to this immediate game, or real life, remains to be seen, but there is a _real_ reason behind the snuggling. Again, possibly game breaking here, but, If I am moving my vote off of Ladybug, I want / need this on record.

Interesting you would point to Mendie > Ladybug as an example.

I'm not questioning your reason for suspecting Harry. Day 1 tends to lean towards fluff. However I will be watching for Harry's reply to this before EOD

The cop claiming here probably is optimal. With 3 deaths a Night, the chance of the cop just getting randomly killed early are fairly high. If they claim, they can't be killed until the Night after the town Doc gets randomly killed, so theoretically claiming gets you one more Night of life than not claiming does. Also, claiming now eliminates the concern about fake claims and shenanigans later in the game.

Of course the cop should exercise their own judgment, and should definitely wait to see if others might spot any flaw in this plan before claiming.

In another game, I might see this as scum baiting the Town cop into revealing themself. Not the case, in this game.

I also think Mantis looks pretty good for pointing this out.

A little FOS on the insects, Mantis for throwing out a no-vote-today on Ladybug based solely on sock user names, or could it be based on something else? At this point I can't say, but it pinged me. Ladybug's response also pinged a bit.

We are playing with a deck of jokers here. Gotta confess I had to google a sizeable number of sock names. But little joke-phase digs re: usernames are NAI, and also should be disappearing around now. Or, soon.
