Both Bogatyr and Sherlock Holmes read as Town. Confident, thoughtful etc. But I think it is easier to trick a subsequent reader than an active player. When I am Scum I usually edit through my posts several times first, but when Town I just post. Scum want their posts to be read.

This player is not new to Mafia, else how could they accuse Mantis of pretending to be new? I have played Mafia for a while and "some other faction" is not something you just ignore in a game.

So you aren’t going to vote for the player you find the most scummy because you may be the 3rd voter? In a game of 19 it takes a lot more than 3 votes to end a player.

In this post you say the whole cop claiming discussion is anti-Town and designed only to help reveal the Cop. This post basically accuses those who advocated the Cop plan of all being Scum. Why isn't your vote on any of them?

No there’s a difference between playing an Anti-Town game and being scum. There’s all sorts of reasons a Town player is acting against Towns best Interests.

I think Numbers 5 after Anti-Town claiming… but as of now he’s not counter claimed, so He’s in the town for now column. I have to be honest, if I was on one of the two factions, I would have 100% counter claimed him, if not for any other reason but to confuse the doc. It would be a good swap, cop who can destroy two sets of scum teams lol.

So yeah Anti-Town doesn’t necessarily mean scum, BUT it’s a reason to keep an eye on someone for their future moves. Is it just one bone headed thing or are they trying to detail Town.

So my vote stays on the actual player who is hiding his thought process purposefully.

I agree it was a weird turn of phrase. I never let meta dictate my vote. Something about this is trying to hard to prove, Oh I’m not going to vote him now because I don’t want to look like scum starting a bandwagon….but all it does is draw attention to him. It could be the wine, but Flash is in my Scum Leaning pile.

I think I'd be the 4th voter in any case. There's a lotta days yet to go and I wanna be able to have a selection of candidates, if possible. The vote on Don Quixote is mainly a poke vote. There's still nine players without votes down.

No, I didn't mean voting for me. I meant that with 4 votes on someone, it's easy to just tag another vote on. I'd like to see some more evidence on people (but it's D1 so that's not likely) before I join in on Atticus. And he may come back and defend himself, who knows?

My threshold for voting him would be more time-sensitive. Say, Thursday or Friday.

I don't see the case on Dr. French at all.

I get the vote on the non-participant, and D1 there's often little to go with. Voting patterns can make a difference later in the game. I'm not opposed to it but I don't see much value in taking easy potshots at someone for lack of participation. Scum can easily be here making noise if that's the case.

The case against Atticus seems weak. I see it more of a Town slip. Scum know who they are and who their two teammates are, and there's more incentive for them to be focused for their own protection.

Mendie is an interesting case. A lot of words and fragments that wander about, grasping at meaning and anything to get the point across. My mind's undecided if he's scum or Town, I'm willing to give him a pass toDay.

I'm curious why you thinnk you'd be nightkilled? I think a universal town read would have a decent chance of getting shot, but the two anti-town factions would be wary of doubling up I would think, which actually protects you more than any other player than one protected by the doc.

And what signals am I sending that I'm a godfather? If I am it's coincidental. I'm an ordinary hero that doesn't feel like one.

This is a player who is just taunting us, daring us to vote there. One who either wants out of the game right now, and I'm happy to oblige, or thinks s/he will be around for the endgame because as GF s/he will come back as Town if investigated and can't be vigged or NKed because of scum doctor protection.

Personally I think it’s a strong case and, while I’ve tried, I’ve not been able to find any explanation of Atticus’ posts from a Town perspective. Could you explain how you think it could be a Town slip, or is your point just that scum would be more careful and wouldn’t make such a slip? It’s D1, sure, but Atticus hasn’t been back since, his explanation that he didn’t think the producers were a nefarious faction didn’t help his case.
