Answer to the first: I really don't want to say anything about it. People can read into it what they want. In my eyes it's harmless fun. Answer to the second: If you're talking about me, I didn't realize I was being accused of something other than being a godfather, and I don't think that follows from the quote by Bicycle Repair Man. |

The hot tub? The one with the frayed power cord and the residue from Hotel of Heroes 5? No thanks.
I still think we oughta be evicting the lurkers. Really I do, but I seem to be alone in that regard. The cases on the 3 main contenders for tomorrow's eviction are: 1) Doctor French. The case goes that she's attracting attention to herself, which may possible mean she's a Godfather who hopes to benefit from being checked out by the Cop. Maybe, but she's also either the top poster or one of them, and her posts don't lack content. I won't be voting there toDay. 2) Mantis. She's playing in character. I've been in one of these HoH's playing in character myself. I'd only do it when I was Town. It comes off scummy to many. I was evicted. I'll pass on Mantis. 3) Atticus Finch. He made a slip. It may have been a Town slip, but it was a slip. His attempts to defend himself made him look worse. And he hasn't posted all that much. Consequently, There's still lots of time until EoD. Anything can happen. |

...and, yes, I realize that makes a tie for first place. But there's a lot of time and a number of votes that haven't been cast. And, besides, I always think we can learn a lot from ties.

A Town slip is a slip by a Townperson that looks scummy to other players. I missed Steven Universe's vote on Doctor French, and was going by the last tally. |

Atticus identified a possible connection between three players and determined they were the scum team. After prodding they conceded that the three could also be Producers, which s/he not considered as scum, or at most considered a third party faction…
My hypothesis is that Atticus is a Producer, and therefore already knows those team members, so only needs to find the opposing scum team, as everyone else is Town, hence the “game over” comment upon identifying three coordinating people… Even if Atticus had identified three players as nefarious anti-town, there is no Townie motivation for considering them Villains and not Producers, whether they are called scum, PFK, or whatever. |

One method of learning how scum operate is watching the voting tally D1. Scum start out voting for the person Town thinks is scummy (in this case, Dr French), but will try to push a vote onto someone which they know to be Town. This is leading Town to the well, so to speak: scum make the case against a player, convince Town to follow, and when said player flips Town, cry "oh woe is us, how could we fail so badly?" [insert crocodile tears] But with this setup, there are two scum factions, so scum could be pushing a vote on someone they think might be Town, but if it turns out to be scum from another faction, they can rejoice with Town on a job well done. In this game, voting tallies could be the crucial component to finding scum If/when town evicts a scum, look back to D1 voting for clues |

I get the impression that some players are cruising along, waiting for EoD and D2 before they start making inquiries of others. I don't consider this a scum-tell, as Townies are sometimes unsure to speak out lest they be marked for eviction
This is anti-Town. Get an impression or lean posted, to give Town something to have if you're gone toMorrow |

We are incredibly dead at work. So I'm posting this, on my phone, from work. 1. This account is having a conniption over the above quote. Just know that. ![]() 2. Misguided Bus I wanted to chime in here. As I immediately took the term / phrase, and still do, I understand the term to in effect mean that townies have been sold a bill of goods. They all bought into it, and as such they form a party / bus / collective of like voters. I have reservations on changing my vote to Atticus. I see the argument, and yes I even furthered it to some extent. But... Finally, as far as thought and vote ... I am not moved. This ultimately will prove to be bad for me. ... I fear.

A second tier scum read. I can see the slip as just poor word choice. The follow-up was pretty bad for an exoskeleton. But this is the smartest vote for me to make at this point anyway so being a scum read of any tier is a bonus |

I don't like it when people unvote "whoever I was voting for". It suggests that they don't actually remember where their vote is...which suggests that they don't really care too much about their vote. And the only reason I can think of for not caring who I am voting for is if I don't really care if their Scum or not. Why not? several people have explained why they would prefer the Doctor to be evicted; what reason do you have for thinking they should stay? |
