And buried somewhere in ISP log files is a record of exactly who posted them too. Files which are for sale at a very reasonable price. Not to mention data on every person who spends money, walks in front of a camera, or uses the web. An entire industry exists to collate all this into a convenient format for resale. To future employers, for instance. Or anyone else with fifty bucks who wants to know. This is public knowledge and still people drop trou and take a dump all over the web every day. You can never go wrong underestimating the intelligence of the American public.

Current employers in some cases. The number of people who have lost jobs and careers for showing their proverbial ass in public (and the internet is very much in public)is amazing.

Well, by peeps I meant my demographic, not that I share any affinity for them. It's more of a lament that otherwise functional adults can be so pigheaded and willfully blind than anything, especially two years in.

I think the problem is the lack of data re: dosages and strength for either THC or CBD. How much is enough? I've tried flower with an advertised 30%+ THC and I find it no different with some of the 20% offerings. I don't think there are testing standards that are common between the growers.
I vape flower for neuropathy relief, and it absolutely works. Within 60 to 90 seconds. If you follow this chart, and your vape allows temperature control, you can use THC safely. (still, don't drive after use). •320°F(160°C) – 356°F(180°C): Very light mostly mental medication and best for flavor (great if you still have a lot to do that day); •356°F(180°C) – 392°F(200°C): Great flavor with good medication level, bodily effects will be more apparent; •392°F(200°C) – 446°F(230°C): Best if you don’t have anything else to do that day, very strong level of medication, heavy bodily effects. I use the bolded one. It works and allows me to function. I remember when this Covid thing started we were all asking if smoking/vaping would compromise our respiratory system and if we should avoid it while the virus was running rampant. Now we see stuff like this in the news. Quote:
It's not hard to find studies that say, no, maybe, or yes, ymmv. Again, no standards for testing make everything questionable. All this comes down to one thing. Try it, it's legal, If it works for you, you'll know. Good luck getting the dosage right though. It's trial and error. |

I'm totally fine and back to normal. I am fortunate that it was just like a mild cold. So far one sister and her husband have gotten it with mild symptoms. Also one brother in law (widower of my late sister) and my two nieces with mild symptoms.

My roommate's mom is back in the hospital. She tested positive for COVID last week. Her SATs are 75% she has lung nodules that are likely cancerous. But they have to get her stronger before they can biopsy. She is generally unhealthy. This sucks.

I hope you went, Sunny! Don't screw around with this. Please let us know how you're doing.
My friend with congestive heart failure who contracted COVID is doing OK. She said she doesn't have any respiratory issues (whew). Her symptoms are GI problems and extreme fatigue. Her doctor said that if she remains hydrated, she should be OK. Crossing fingers. I was scared. |

I hope it's tonight. If you wait and oxygen levels drop too far overnight, we're talking organ damage here: the brain, the heart, the lungs, the kidneys. COVID is a vascular disease, too. There could be blood clots. Go to an ER if you can't find an urgent care center. ETA: Sorry, not trying to be alarmist (anymore than usual), but the complications I'm referring to - COVID itself - can creep up on you. It's sneaky, insidious, and difficult to correct once the damage has been done. Not worried necessarily that you'd die but damn worried that something could happen that would ruin your quality of life. Hope you see a healthcare professional tonight even if it's inconvenient. We were told that this winter would be problematic. They were right. Now CalHOPE (CA's online crisis chat site) has ads addressing for those who are vaxed and still anxious about being in public. Apparently, there's an element of us who believe there really is a virus out there and think hiding from it is an viable option. |

I've been having a hard time even watching pre-pandemic TV shows because I'm all "OMG stop shaking hands! Why are you jammed together like that? You just met this person, why are you up in their personal space? STOP SNEEZING!!!" Yeah, we're all gonna have a bunch of PTSD going on if this ever cools down enough to stop being a pandemic.

They don't wear masks! Even if they're set in current times, they just ignore the pandemic. It's sort of like ignoring WWII while making a movie set during WWII. I don't get it.

I like the way some of the doctor shows are handling it, they mostly did a year with COVID stories and masking and whatnot but I can see how that has GOT to be a bitch to work with. I bet the sound guys were going mental. Anyway, some shows have a blurb in front of the credits saying "[Show] is set in a fictional universe which does not always reflect reality. There's still a pandemic going on, please be careful and protect yourselves" or words to that effect. It's a fine line to walk, for sure.
