Off for Three Weeks in France

Taking money out of retirement (what retirement?) to do it, and it won't be one long splurge.
Backpacking, CouchSurfing, staying with our kid. Drinking some wine, eating some foie gras, checking out some chateaux.
Most importantly, will see our older son for the first time in over a year, and meet his girlfriend.
The only thing that nags at me is leaving our animals (we do have good housesitters) and dealing with the TSA and airports, etc. Flying used to be so glamorous, now it's somewhat of a grim schlep.
