The Grateful Dead ~67 times

If you include all of the various offshoots (Jerry Garcia Band, The Dead, The Grateful Dead, Bobby and Rob, Ratdog, Phil and Friends, Micky Hart Band) then it's over 100 times.

Others that I've seen over ten times are Bob Dylan and Jonathon Richman.

Hajario, do you follow them across the country?

My neighbor used to do that. He worked as a claims adjuster irl, but he'd take off to see the Dead about 5x a year.

New Rhythm and Blues Quartet (originally Quintet). They're probably older than both of us, and don't tour together anymore. Name is misleading as they're kind of a mix of a lot of genres. Known as a fantastic live band that never quite lives up to expectations in the studio. I can't recommend their 1989 best-of compilation "Peek-A-Boo" highly enough, though. One review I read described it as 'all the gold nuggets from a pebble-filled stream'.

I live in California so mostly I just travel up and down the state. Back in the day when they would play Friday-Sunday, I went out of state for a few shows.

I recently had the opportunity again for the first time in over fifteen years. It's not the same. Not sure why but I think it's just that one hell of a lot more life has happened.

I've had friends tell me the same thing. Life was worry free back then. If my wife found out I did something like that now, well, I might be out one wife.

Cheap Trick 20+ times. I also went to most of the Bill Graham Day On The Green concerts back in the 70's.

If I had a nickel for everytime that I saw Journey at one of those, well.....I'd have a lot of nickels.

You could also tell who was headlining by the bottles that you ran over in the parking lot.

Jack Daniels - Ted Nugent/AC-DC.
Jim Beam - Lynrd Skynrd.

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult... 4x
Duran Duran 2x
Madonna 2x
Pylon 2x
The Cure 2x

The funny thing is that I don't even like Thrill Kill Kult all that much. Well, I liked them, but they were something of a one-note joke. I enjoyed seeing them the first time, but not so much the last three times. They were something of a "one-hit wonder" type of band amongst the "cool people" in Atlanta in the early 90s, and they came to town like... 6 times in 2 years. It became something of a joke, and people used to call them "Masquerade's house band" (Masquerade is (was?) a big alternative club in Atlanta).

Because good concerts are a rarity here in Charlotte, people tend to jump on any good show that rolls through town. I think half the people I know here have seen The Ramones 5 or more times, since they were one of the few cool New Wave\punk\80s bands that ever came here.

Dave Matthews Band is the only one I've seen multiple times, other than local bands that nobody would have heard of. DMB was a local band at the time, used to play Tuesday nights at a club called Trax in Charlottesville, VA. Probably saw them 25 times.
